Have you read the thing about the British dude who made the US national anthem in Spanish? And then Prez Bush was asked about it today and he responded, "I think the national anthem ought to be sung in English, and I think people who want to be a citizen of this country ought to learn English and they ought to learn to sing the national anthem in English." So what's the big deal exactly? Canada seems to function with two official languages well enough. Wouldn't a country benefit from a little bi-linguality (is that a word? Spell check says, "Non!"). I love the fear on display. I love the total non-grasp of History our PRESIDENT has...our official language was extremely close to being German or French at various times. English is a kind of strong fluke...like crab-grass.
